Mexican singer, songwriter and keyboardist Ximena Sariñana (hi-MEN-a sa-rin-YAH-na) has announced the release of her English-language debut on Warner Bros Records. The self-titled album is set to hit stores August 2nd, 2011. Recorded in Los Angeles with Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Bird and the Bee), Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Natalia Lafourcade, the result is a collection of songs that showcase her striking voice, smart, thoughtful lyrics and offbeat personality. The first single "Different" goes to radio June 7th, 2011.

After fronting a successful indie band in her native Mexico, Ximena released her Spanish-language solo debut Mediocre in 2008. The album debuted at #1 in Mexico and scored two Latin Grammy nods and a US Grammy Award nomination, as well as the Best New Artist win at the Latin MTV Awards.

The daughter of acclaimed film director Fernando Sariñana, Ximena has also been acting since the age of 11. She has starred in three telenovelas and 11 Mexican films.
