This week was filled with new songs from all over the music map, some from movies, more than a few political numbers, and, of course, the good old fashion album seat warmers. Pharrell Williams put out two new tracks this week, "Runnin'" and "Surrender", from the Hidden Figures soundtrack. Ted Leo unveiled the politically minded "In the Meantime". Thee Oh Sees debuted the second song, "You Will Find It Here", off their forthcoming album An Odd Entrances.

Run the Jewels premiered "Talk to Me" via Adult Swim singles, the first song from their upcoming third album. Joanna Newsom shared the previously unreleased "Make Hay". Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions, the collaboration between Mazzy Star singer Hope Sandoval and My Bloody Valentine drummer Colm Ó Cíosóig, shared "A Wonderful Seed" from their forthcoming album, Until the Hunter. And that was only the beginning for a week filled with stunning new tracks.

    Here are our favorites:

    Yeasayer - "Loan Shark Blues"

"Loan Shark Blues" is a B-side for "Cold Night", which received its own EP today. Let's just say it's a surprise they didn't find a place for it on a full album.

    Clams Casino - "Time"

The dark, moody "Time" comes to us via the 111-track #savefabric benefit compilation. Its uptempo beat pays homage to Fabric, but it never loses its drifting qulity.

Pharrell Williams - "Surrender" [ft. Lalah Hathaway]

A soulful hand slapper, "Surrender" seems as if it's more out Pharrell's Neptunes canon than his more recent efforts. Lalah Hathaway has the perfect voice to pair with this track, and it's the kind of old meets new track that is sure to last.

    Allison Crutchfield - "Dean's Room"

Allison Crutchfield's pop gem "Dean's Room", the first track from her upcoming album Tourist in this Town, is the kind of soda pop you'd drink down even if on a diet. There's a delightful cat-and-mouse game going on in the lyrics, but it's only part of the fun.
