Young Guns was a great '80s film, a neo-western starring Kiefer Sutherland. Now it's a British rock band!
Wind-Up Records has signed British alt rock band Young Guns and has set a Sept. 4 release for the group's U.S. debut, Bones.
Over the course of the past few years, the London-based quintet (vocalist Gustav Wood, guitarists Fraser Taylor and John Taylor, bassist Simon Mitchell and drummer Ben Jolliffe) has emerged as one of the UK's most electrifying new bands, garnering heavy radio play and UK chart success, while playing to packed-house crowds all across Europe, including a main stage performance at the Reading Festival, where they tore up the stage as part of a lineup that included Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, Guns N' Roses and Modest Mouse.
Directed by Tim Mattia (Cage the Elephant, My Chemical Romance, The Dead Weather), the "Bones" video has already racked up more than 745k views on YouTube and can be seen below:
"We are both excited and honored to be releasing our new album Bones with Wind-Up Records in the USA," says lead vocalist Gustav Wood. "It's the dream of any young band in England to release a record and tour in America. To have the opportunity to actually do those things with a label behind us that's as excited and committed to our band as we are is awesome. We're now label mates with some very talented people and like them, we can't wait to make our mark on the country."
Did you dig the video for "Bones?" Into Young Guns?
