Zachary Levi Down With Alvin and the Chipmunks
Zachary Levi of TV's Chuck will star in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel. Levi will play the cousin of Dave, the rodents' caretaker. Dave was played by Jason Lee in the 2007 surprise hit Alvin and the Chipmunks. Like the original, the sequel will blend live-action with CGI chipmunks.Betty Thomas is directing the follow up, which will include the Chipettes, who were Alvin, Simon, and Theodore's musical rivals in the animated series, which aired in the 1980s. It has yet to be determined if Lee will be reprising his role as Dave.
Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and singer Jesse McCartney are reprising their voice roles as the chipmunks.
