Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba Are Losers

Zoe Saldana and Idris Elba will star in The Losers, Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures' adaptation of the Vertigo/DC comic.

The film centers on a Special Forces team that is betrayed and left for dead by the person who assembled them. The troupe regroups, dubs itself "The Losers" and seeks revenge against its former handler by conducting covert operations against the CIA, among other pursuits. Saldana will play Aisha, a cold-blooded, unpredictable character, while Elba is set to star as Roque, a scarred, second-in-charge "loser" who is motivated by money.

Columbus Short has also just joined the cast. He will play Pooch, a smart-mouthed shooter who refers to himself in the third person and boasts a tattoo of his infant daughter on his person. The film reunites Short with his Stomp the Yard director Sylvain White, who is directing the project.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is also starring in the film.
