CartZoe Saldana Replaces Mary J. Blige in Nina Simone Biopic

Actress Zoe Saldana has replaced R&B diva Mary J. Blige in a forthcoming biopic about jazz singer Nina Simone. Saldana has her work cut out for her, since MJB can belt like Simone.
Blige was cast in the movie adaptation of Cynthia Mort's Nina all the way back in 2010. The film was slated to shoot last year, but there was a financial setback which delayed production indefinitely and Blige was forced to drop out.
Now, the film's financial struggles have been resolved and Saldana will play Simone when the shoot begins this year.
Will Zoe Saldana make a good Nina Simone? Or would the role be better suited for MJB?
