vini riley, guitar, phil toman,drums, peter "walter mitty" crookes, bass guitar. released single "aint bin to no music school" on rabid records june 1977 which topped indie charts for the rest of 77. this line up split in early 78 with ed banger going solo signing to emi. releasing single "kinnel tommy" before joining slaughter and the dogs as lead singer, releasing 2 singles "east side of town", "im the one" and album "bite back" on djm records. 3 more solo singles followed two as ed banger, "ive just had my car knicked", "poor people", and one with the baskerville city raiders "fancy it tonite or what",and album the "sound of the baskerville" on clay records. vini riley signed to factory records to form the durrtti colunm releasing 21 albums to date. phil toman later joined primal scream playing on two of there biggest selling albums.
