Convalesce Biography
Convalesce began in 2000 as a band named Team Carmen, which consisted of Juniors Dave Delrose, Justin Beck, and a host of other of their more musically inclined high school acquaintances. After high school, Dave and Beck went to college and the two lost touch for about a year. When Dave came back on Spring Break, they began hanging out, and talked about ressurecting the band. In Summer of 2001, they formed Autumn in New York with guitarist Billy Samonte and guitarist-turned-drummer Adain Rodriguez. The quartet then enlisted in the production assistance of fellow ASUMH student/knob-tweaker Anthony Racaniello. When Samonte quit the band, Adain moved to guitar, and the trio invited Racaniello to play guitar, as well. After countless lineup changes, the band emerged with Matt Blair on drums. They wrote and began to record "The Prizefighter and the Lady" EP, when Adain left the band to devote more time to his side project, and Dave resigned because of personal issues. Convalesce then selected John "Helmet" Massey to play bass, and the lineup was finalized. Convalesce are: Justin Beck, Anthony Racaniello, Matt Blair, and John Massey.
