Defective Skrew

Defective Skrew formed in 1995 with
Vocalist/Bassist John Pye and Guitarist John
Treanor. The two constructed a folk/
alternative rock sound and played locally in
the Bronx, NY. In 1998 the band met Jason
Damore a friend from college and asked him
if he would try out as the drummer for the
band and the sound worked out giving them
a more punk/rock 'n roll feel blending with
the original alternative/folk sound. The band
was a three piece for three years when they
decided to take a break to finish up school
and carry on with other interests. They
formed again in 2003 to add a second
guitarist, Dennis Feeney filling in any gaps
and completing the Defective Skrew. Now
as a four piece the Skrew are rocking out the
NY Area and bringing their unique sound to
the masses!
