The Creation

Sound Stream was created in early June 2004 with a goal in mind. A goal to put on a stage show that will stick in the mind everyone who watches. Experimental and Multimedia live shows give the listener another point of view to go with the eclectic sounds coming from the stage. The band takes deep pride in the music they play and love to share the sights and sounds they have to offer with the world.

The Name

For the first two months the band struggled to find a name for themselves. In fact they played their first show without a name. After sorting through about 20 names it came without a second thought. SoundStream.

When the band plays for a period of time, they reach a certain level of peace where the music just pours out (the Sound Stream level). The name SoundStream is a philosophical way of describing the previous sentence. There is a stream that flows throughout the world. It is a stream of sound that flows continuously above us, even when there is no sound. You can not see this stream but if you could it would look as beautiful as aurora borealis but with every shade of color you can imagine. When the band achieves the Sound Stream level they are reaching up into the sky pulling down the sound and projecting it through their instruments.
