Jamie Crompton Biography

Jamie Crompton is a drummer who started off playing for various new wave-type bands, eventually hooking up with Susie Quatro in 1980. He recorded a few albums with her and toured extensively in that group. One of those tours involved an opening slot with Wishbone Ash in 1985, and that group offered him a temporary place as their drummer. He took the spot and wound up staying with them through 1987. However, when the group re-formed that year, Ted Turner replaced Crompton. He did wind up rejoining them for the 1988 tour. He has since retired from the world of performing. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
