Biography

Violinist Jenny Oaks Baker began her playing career at the ripe young age of 4, and has enjoyed increased exposure ever since. She won several competition awards during her youth, earned her bachelor's degree at Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia, PA and earned her master's degree from Juilliard School in New York City. She has performed with the Utah Symphony, the Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the National Symphony Orchestra. She released her first album, On Wings of Song in 1998, and it won two Pearl Awards from the FCMA. She released a second album, Songs My Mother Taught Me in 1999. She is currently an instructor at the Levine Music School with 25 students in her private studio. In addition to earning recognition for her musical gift, Baker is daughter to LDS church official Dallin H. Oaks and the late June Oaks.
