Barry Watson Biography

Barry Watson is a 55 year-old builder, married with two grown up sons, who has loved music since childhood. He is a self taught harmonica player, having spent years playing along to music on the radio. Wanting to try to make a living from music, he built himself a studio and starting recording jazz musicians, accomplishing over 30 recordings in 2 years. He had been a fan of the legendary bandleader Humphrey Lyttelton for many years, and had got to know him well. He persuaded Humph to be a guest on his debut album, 'Building Dreams', recorded in Barry's own studio.

The album has enjoyed extensive radio play in England and abroad and is now available on the Internet, with feedback coming in from all over the world. Barry's idea was to combine the haunting sound of the harmonica with a selection of all time great popular ballads, accompanied by some of the finest jazz musicians in the world - and as a bonus, British jazz legend, Humphrey Lyttelton as a special guest! The title track, 'Building Dreams', is the very first tune Barry has written and was added to the album several months after it was completed. The album will appeal to music lovers everywhere, and 'Building Dreams' is as appropriate a title as you would find.
