The Standard is a Portland based band consisting of five individuals with varying musical backgrounds and interests who share a common vision-to move in a creative direction towards a music that is as interesting as it is evocative. It is music that tells a story both lyrically and sonically where all members are actively involved in the writing, from the inception of a song until it is realized.
