Boston's Shumai were faithful followers of mid-'90s indie janglers like Velocity Girl and Heavenly. In addition to guitarist/vocalist Don Shumai, the band included guitarist/vocalist Wasabi Shumai, who had done time in the '90s Harriet Records act Prickly as Collin Oberndorf, as well as bassist/vocalist "Razzle," who was not to be confused with Hanoi Rocks' martyr-like drummer of the same name. ...more
