The Beyond were a Derby, England quartet who specialized in highly technical heavy metal bordering on thrash. John Whitby (vocals), Andy Gatford (guitar), Jim Kersey (bass), and Neil Cooper (drums) came together in 1988 and spent years honing their complex sound through extensive touring on the British club circuit.
