Kid Rock Blocks Sex Tape

Court disappoints eager public by ruling in rocker’s favor.
Kid Rock Blocks Sex Tape
The devil without a cause has found a cause: Just Saying No to celebrity sex tapes. In what is surely just the latest chapter in an epic saga, federal judge John Feikens has sided with Kid Rock and issued a temporary restraining order that shuts down World Wide Red Light District's plans to sell a homemade video of Kid Rock and erstwhile Creed frontman Scott Stapp enjoying the splendors of rock and roll superstardom during a 1999 tour -- in other words, a tour bus sex romp with four young female fans.
Kid Rock's legal team will attempt to make the ban permanent. In the meantime, they have prevented the distributors from selling the tape and circulating the 40-second trailer, which was circulating through the blogs. Essentially, Rock is seeking the same protection afforded to Poison's Bret Michaels, who succeeded in blocking distribution of his video with sex tape queen Pamela Anderson.
Red Light took the curious stance that they were helping the participants; by obtaining the tape through a third party and then making it available for purchase, they said, they would prevent it from flooding the Internet. The lawsuit counters that the tape is stolen property and was clearly meant to remain a private keepsake.
It's been a proud month for the new Mrs. Scott Stapp -- former Miss New York Jaclyn Nesheiwat -- who also saw her new hubby arrested for public drunkenness during their honeymoon. During the sex tape trailer, Stapp -- a Christian whose music has enjoyed great popularity among people of faith -- leers into the camera and proclaims, "It's good to be king."
