Baby on Board for Jack White

Nashville PTA, are you ready to rock? One the city's many famous residents, White Stripes frontman Jack White, is newly a proud papa. White's wife, redheaded model Karen Elson, gave birth on Tuesday to a baby girl that the couple named Scarlett Teresa. Baby Scarlett is the couple's first child together; her name manages a tip of the hat to Gone with the Wind, her grandma's name, and her Dad's signature color.

White married Elson in the summer of 2005 in a boat on the Amazon River. White Stripes drummer -- and Jack's first wife -- Meg White served as maid of honor, and the ceremony was conducted by a shaman. These happy nuptials came hot on the heels of the fizzling of White's well-publicized romance with Renee Zellweger. Zellweger also quickly found a rebound relationship that led to her marriage with country hunk Kenny Chesney -- but instead of a baby, that couple had an annulment.

Daddy Jack has also been showing off another baby, as his new band The Raconteurs are scheduled to release their debut album on May 16. The quartet made their live debut in March.

White and Elson recently bought a home on a street that was once called home by George Jones and Hank Williams, Sr. Those are some nice ghosts to have around, but the couple decided against moving into Johnny Cash's old digs, with White imagining that it would be like living in a "museum."
