Two stages collapsed, one falling on the concert-goers. Some giant screens also fell down and trees were uprooted by the fierce storm, the Belga news agency reported. Organisers, who had drawn capacity crowds of 65,000 fans for each of the three days the event was due to run, called a halt to planned performances by global names such as Eminem and the Foo Fighters.

Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and teen sensation Justin Bieber were also on a star-studded roster of performers at the show in Los Angeles, where rapper Eminem hopes to seal a comeback year with a brace of awards. The Grammys are the music industry's equivalent of the Oscars, the climax of Hollywood's annual awards season that this year takes place in barely two weeks' time, on February 27.

About a month after the murder of group member Proof, Detroit rap collective D12 have announced that they will be continuing their career together -- and will begin recording their next album this summer. They may have hit the studio sooner, but are awaiting Swift’s release from jail in June. Swift was thrown behind bars for 93 days after skipping out on a court hearing so that he could attend Proof’s funeral.

These future plans for D12 were reported straight from the source, as Kon Artis spoke to the Detroit Free Press to dispel rumors that D12 was considering disbanding after Proof’s death. They’ve enlisted some friends to help them take the album “to the next level,” including 50 Cent and G-Unit, Dr. Dre, and another rapper who’s repeatedly been in the headlines for tragic reasons this year: Busta Rhymes.

Fans will also have another chance to say goodbye to Proof. The new D12 record will include at least one song that features Proof’s flow, and his second solo album, Time Will Tell, is set to be released later this year. The solo album was reportedly recording during a single 24-hour creative blitz.

Interestingly, Kon Artis did not mention whether D12's most famous member, Eminem, was participating in the new recording sessions.
