Loretta Lynn Breaks Shoulder in Fall

Country legend Loretta Lynn broke her shoulder Sunday in a fall at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She is scheduled to undergo shoulder replacement surgery tomorrow (June 9) at a hospital in Nashville and return home to recuperate.

Lynn, 71, is cancelling nine concerts in June and July as a result of the injury. Those dates are expected to be rescheduled, according to her website.

A three-time Grammy winner, Lynn is best-known for her hit song, "Coal Miner's Daughter," which was also the title of her autobiography and an Oscar-winning biopic starring Sissy Spacek. Two years ago, she staged a career comeback with the critically acclaimed album Van Lear Rose, which was produced by Jack White of The White Stripes.
