Darkness Lead Singer in Rehab

Justin Hawkins, lead singer of British retro-metal band The Darkness, has reportedly bought himself a one-way ticket to rehab.

Following an announcement on the band's website that the falsetto-voiced frontman has cancelled all his upcoming appointments and appearances, British tabloid The Daily Mirror reported that Hawkins had checked himself into The Priory, a well-known London rehab clinic. "Justin's been feeling really low of late and he wanted to go somewhere he could clear his head," a source close to the band told the tabloid. "He's been looking terrible at the moment. His skin's taken on a weird yellowy pallor. The Priory really is the best place for him."

It has been a rough for The Darkness, who saw their sophomore album, One Way Ticket to Hell...and Back, fizzle on the charts, prompting rumors that they're about to be dumped by their label.

There's no word on the exact nature of Hawkins' condition, but he has admitted to suffering from bulimia in the past. His bandmates and the band's representatives have no confirmed or commented on the Daily Mirror's report.
