Stephen Perkins Made Us a Mixtape!

    Wed, 23 Aug 2006 12:03:32

"We're doing it because we love it," says drummer Stephen Perkins of his new band, The Panic Channel. "Forming of a new band adds years to my life -- the excitement is like meeting a new girl or something." Former with fellow ex-Jane's Addiction members Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney, plus newcomer Steve Isaacs on vocals, Panic Channel puts a fresh, melodic new spin on the modern rock sound that Jane's helped pioneer nearly two decades ago.

So what does one of rock's most versatile and prolific drummers listen to between gigs, rehearsals and the rigors of rock stardom? Stephen was kind enough to share this mixtape with us and give everyone a glimpse of his many influences:

    1. "Rich" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

    2. "Train In Vain" - The Clash

    3. "Mouth For War" - Pantera
