Rappers can't be trusted when they talk about retirement. Eminem, who's been flirting with leaving the rap game behind, instead has a new mixtape scheduled to drop next month. The early main attraction is "Things Need to Change," a new single on which Em addresses the slaying of his best buddy and D12 cohort Proof earlier this year.

Eminem worked on the mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid, a rising star who is best known in the mainstream as the guy trying to play matchmaker -- musical matchmaker -- for Michael Jackson and 50 Cent. As always, Slim Shady arrives with an impressive entourage; the mixtape, titled The Re-Up, features Dr. Dre, fellow retiree Jay-Z, members of G-Unit, and, of course, Proof himself.

Now that he's dusting off his chops, perhaps ol' Slim Shady can respond to the entreaties of pop siren Nelly Furtado. "[Eminem] is so diverse and has so much finesse," she said recently. "I would love to be around that and see how that works."

The sexiness doesn't stop there! A new Nike ad campaign puts Eminem alongside Jennifer Aniston, who reportedly wanted to do a "comedy rap" before being dissuaded by ex-husband Brad Pitt, who thought it would be damaging to Jen's career.
