Britney and K-Fed Finally Confirm Baby's Name

Ending over a month of speculation, a birth certificate has been released confirming that the second child of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline is named Jayden James Federline. Shortly after JJ-Fed's birth, false reports circulated that the couple had chosen the name Sutton Pierce.

The proud papa has been making the publicity rounds and, until now, had been coy about confirming or denying his baby's name. K-Fed's debut album, Playing With Fire, will be released this week on Halloween. Scary!

Now why would Britney and K-Fed sit idly by and wait to clear up the confusion? The most widespread rumor points to a simple (and obviously successful) mission to keep Mr. Federline in the headlines during the week of his album release. Others suggest that Britney passed along the false "Sutton Pierce" name to try to expose tabloid spies within her extended entourage.

If you've got a problem with any of that, K-Fed has news for you: "If you want to hate me, cool, hate me," he told People. "You know why? Because all it's going to do is help me." Unless, of course, people hate him so much that nobody buys his album on Tuesday.
