Sex tape rumor resurfaces as custody battle begins.
Britney vs. K-Fed Heats Up
The Spears-Federline divorce seems doomed for ugliness, and the separated duo are wasting no time in satisfying expectations. The British tabloids are reporting that K-Fed is threatening to release a honeymoon sex tape if Britney doesn't comply with his separation demands, which include a hefty chunk of change as well as custody of the couple's two children. Spears has filed for sole custody."The vid is dynamite and Kev knows it," a source told News of the World. "They did nothing all day but have sex -- and play the odd game of chess."
According to reports -- mostly from British tabloids, so their authenticity is hard to confirm -- Federline is asking Spears for as much as $65 million for the tape, to match bids he has received from companies looking to release the tape commercially.
Meanwhile, K-Fed is touting his single status as he hits the road to support his newly released album, Playing with Fire, which tanked in its first week of release, selling fewer than 7,000 copies and debuting at #151 on the Billboard charts. "Hey, I see a lot of fine ladies in here," K-Fed announced to a crowd at Chicago's House of Blues. "You know I'm a free man, right, ladies? You wanna dance with a pimp?"
At another show in Virginia, the would-be rapper was in a less jovial mood, shouting "F*ck Britney!" and flipping his middle finger, according to the British tabloid Daily Star.
In the meantime, Spears was surely disappointed by the dismissal of her $10 million lawsuit against Us Weekly, which had reported on the possible existence of a sex tape in October 2005. In explaining her decision to dismiss the case, Judge Lisa Hart Cole wrote that it wouldn't be considered defamatory to suggest that a husband and wife videotaped each other having consensual sex, particularly when the wife has "put her modern sexuality squarely, and profitably, before the public eye."
