The Brit Pack? Britney Parties With Paris, Lindsay

Just when you thought she couldn't possibly generate any more tabloid fodder, a newly single Britney Spears has had the paparazzi in a frenzy over the past week by partying all over Los Angeles with no underwear and two new gal pals, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Needless to say, the media has not been kind to Britney and her new choice of sidekicks. "Bimbo summit," read a recent New York Post headline under a picture of the three young women laughing together in the back of a limo. And celebrity gossip blog PerezHilton.com implored, "Britney, this has to stop," under a set of paparazzi photos circulating on the Internet that show a short-skirted, pantyless Spears flashing her well-manicured privates.

Thanks to those photos, PerezHilton.com received nearly four million visits yesterday (November 29th), outpacing most major news sites. "Thank you Britney Spears' vagina!" the website crowed.

Apparently, however, Britney's wild ride back into the single life may already be winding down. Recently, another gossip website, TMZ.com, reported that Spears bought over $3,000 worth of lingerie, including several thongs. And she's reportedly backed out on an earlier agreement to co-host next Monday's Billboard Music Awards with gal pal Paris.

Meanwhile, Britney's other new BFF, Lindsay Lohan, was spotted attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting this week. So her days as Britney's club-hopping wingwoman are apparently over, too.

Up next for Britney: A little housecleaning and a return to some semblance of decency, as she prepares for an ugly legal battle with Kevin Federline over custody of the couple's two children. She's starting by killing two birds with one stone: On December 4th, the once and future pop singer will auction off 170 of her personal items to raise money for the Britney Spears Foundation, a charity organization she created to help needy children. Getting rid of useless old crap and scoring points by helping the needy? That's almost as good as wearing no panties and no bra!
