Britney Named Top Viral Video Star, Worst Dog Owner

Britney Spears was the star of the most-viewed celebrity viral video in 2006, and it didn't even involve stepping out of a car in a miniskirt. A clip of the former Mrs. Federline belching and waxing not-too-eloquent about time travel was viewed over three million times this year, trouncing the #2 clip (Mr. Federline apparently being divorced via text message).

The videos are monitored by ViralVideoChat.com, which looks at millions of blogs per day in order to see which clips are being viewed and inspiring feedback. Other hot clips this year included Michael Richards' racist meltdown (#3), Paris Hilton crashing her car (#5), Keira Knightley playing "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head" on her teeth (#6), and Hilton singing "Happy Birthday" to Hugh Hefner (#8).

But Britney wasn't done collecting her year-end awards. Online voters at The New York Dog and The Hollywood Dog chose her as the worst celebrity dog owner, citing her apparent disregard for her three dogs after becoming a mother.

"She once had three Chihuahuas... and never left home without at least one of them on her arm," said magazine editor Hilary O'Hagen. "As soon as she met K-Fed and had kids, [the dogs] disappeared."

Paris was hot on Britney's heels in that countdown, too, coming in at second place because she continues to treat "her dogs like accessories." On the other end of the spectrum, Oprah Winfrey was named the Best Celebrity Dog Owner, in part because each of her five dogs reportedly has its own nanny.
