    Lindsay Lohan Enters Rehab

Lindsay Lohan has confirmed that she has entered a residential treatment center -- a.k.a. rehab -- but declined to offer a specific reason.

"I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health," the 20-year-old actress said in a prepared statement released through her publicist. "I appreciate your well-wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time."

Lohan's spokeswoman, Leslie Sloane-Zelnick, declined to state the name of the facility where Lohan was admitted, but Us Weekly reported that the starlet was seen as part of a three-car motorcade checking into the Wonderland Center in West Hollywood. On their website, Wonderland bills itself as a "residential treatment and detoxification facility providing services for alcohol and drug rehabilitation including treatment for prescription pills, opiates, cocaine, heroin, crack, crystal meth, marijuana and more."

The actress had caused a minor stir on Monday night at Prince's Golden Globes after-party, where a senior editor at E! reported that she lost track of her friends and seemed "off-kilter." Production on I Know Who Killed Me, an upcoming thriller starring Lohan, was postponed temporarily.

Lohan had previously admitted to attending Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, but denied having a drinking problem. "I haven't had a drink in seven days," she told People in December. "Or anything. I'm not even legal to, so why would I? I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking."
