From Montreal to the world, this band seems nearly inextinguishable.
The Arcade Fire Announce Tour Dates
Indie rock sensations Arcade Fire begin their five-night New York City sweep this evening in the intimate Judson Memorial Church, promoting their upcoming sophomore release Neon Bible (out March 6). The shows sold out in minutes but ticketless and heartbroken fans, of which there are many, need not despair. The Montreal collective has just announced that—after preaching the Bibleall over Europe—they'll launch an ambitious North American tour beginning on April 26th at Spreckels Theatre in San Diego, California, and ending in San Francisco on June 2nd. See the full schedule of European and American dates below.
Considering the unexpected success of their debut album, Funeral (400,000 records sold on an independent label), anticipation for Arcade Fire's newest release and the following tour is nearly palpable. As a long time supporter of this band, David Bowie would be proud.
