Fall Out Boy Lands on High

When Fall Out Boy's From Under the Cork Tree reached No. 9 on the Billboards in 2005, the industry was caught by surprise that this virtually unknown pop-punk band from Wilmerton, Illinois had attained such great heights. Well, that was nothing.

This week, the group's follow-up, Infinity On High, secured a No. 1 slot on the Billboard charts, ousting singer-songwriter Norah Jones from the top position. In its first week alone, Infinity has sold an impressive 260,000 copies (impressive by current low album sales standards, that is), which just proves the collective power of the angsty teen set. The first single off the record, "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race," was produced by R&B producer Babyface.
