Van Halen Tour Postponed Indefinitely
Diamond Dave may have to change his name to Cubic Zirconium. After his talk radio show was cancelled, singer David Lee Roth was presumably very eager to be working again as the frontman for a reunited Van Halen. On February 2nd, the band officially announced on their website that the "original Van Halen," complete with Roth, would be performing 40 shows this summer. Eddie Van Halen, the band's guitarist stated, "I am very excited to get back to the core of what made Van Halen." Never mind the fact that original bassist Michael Anthony wasn't invited on the tour, reportedly because of his relationship with close friend and business partner Sammy Hagar, the singer for the second phase of the band. But wait—before you buy your tickets, Pollstar reported yesterday that Van Halen will in fact not finish what they started. The reunion tour is postponed indefinitely. No other information is available at this time.
