Metallica to Begin Work on New Record
According to the band's official website, on March 12th, Metallica will enter the studio and begin recording the follow-up to 2003's St. Anger. The band is teaming up with the industry's most acclaimed producer, Rick Rubin."We really have to feel secure about the music and know it's good," Rubin told Billboard about the upcoming collaboration. "Then in the studio, we're free to only worry about performance and not worry about writing a song. Hopefully, we've done our homework."
Metallica will debut some of the new material live during an eight-show mini-tour in Europe, beginning on July 1st in Belgium and ending in Moscow on July 18th.
