    The film composer is finally honored with the Motion Picture Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award.


    Ennio Morricone Gets Recognized

    The incredibly prolific composer Ennio Morricone, who has 528 film scores under his belt, will accept a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Academy Awards this Sunday night.

    Morricone's most famous compositions are heard during The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, and, more recently, The Untouchables and Bugsy. A number of Morricone's scores are being reissued this year, as well as a tribute album featuring contributions by Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, and others.
