Arcade Fire Triumphs on Saturday Night Live
After a triumphant five nights performing in New York's Judson Memorial Church, Montreal's Arcade Fire reached another career milestone with an appearance on Saturday Night Live. The band performed two songs off their upcoming album, Neon Bible, "Intervention" and "Keep The Car Running." Singer Win Butler even smashed his guitar during the former song in a spontaneous burst of passion, further cementing the band's reputation as an exciting, unpredictable live act.Word has it that after the live taping, the Fire continued to play three songs for the audience and cast members, among them "Rebellion (Lies)" off their debut album, Funeral. An attendee of the show reports that multiple cast members even began dancing on the stage floor.
