New York cult band steps into the ring with a fourth record.
The National Delivers "The Boxer"
In 2005, the National released Alligator, a brooding, potent masterpiece that made it on to just about every critic's best-of list. Now, two years later, the indie rock favs announce their return with The Boxer on May 22nd via the Beggars Banquet label."We worked very hard on this album and we are quite proud of it," read their email newsletter. "It's full of our blood and sweat and there are plenty of surprises!!" The band also revealed the tracklist and a limited number of tour dates, with more to come in the foreseeable future.
