Sean Combs is making headlines, for all the wrong reasons.

Diddy is Having a Bad Week

Diddy or didn't he? Well, according to 27-year-old real estate agent Gerard Rechnitzer, he did. Sean Combs, the notorious Bad Boy, allegedly punched Rechnitzer in the face for interrupting a conversation Combs was having with the agent's girlfriend. The assault reportedly occurred at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles.

But Diddy's troubles don't end there. According to a British ruling delivered last Wednesday, Combs has breached the agreement he drafted along with a London-based record producer to not use the name "Diddy" in Britain. Richard "Diddy" Dearlove is claiming that the rap mogul is in violation of their agreement by referring to himself as "Diddy" on a track on the U.K. version of his album Press Play, when in fact he's supposed to use "P. Diddy" or some variation of the name. Lawyers for Dearlove are trying to broaden their case to include sites like MySpace and YouTube, as well.

"We want him either to use a neutral name like P. Diddy or to shut [his web pages] down," Iain Purvis, Dearlove's lawyer, told the court. Unless the two Diddies can find mutual ground, the Diddy dispute will go to trial in October.
