The influential krautrock band releases its back catalog digitally
Can Goes Digital
Whether you know it or not, Can's influence is heard in a lot of music these days. The German krautrock band, led by creative forces Holger Czukay and Irmin Schmidt, crafted some of the most experimental electronic music of the '70s, and their records sounded years ahead of their time. It's almost surprising that it's taken this long, but Mute Records just announced the band will finally issue their back catalog digitally. The 14 records, including the classic Ege Bamyasi, will be available as digital files on March 13th.
