Jared Leto Breaks Nose, Loses Bass Player
It's been a rough week for Jared Leto. First, the singer of 30 Seconds to Mars broke his nose when he ran into the crowd during a performance of the song "The Kill." Then, today, bassist Matt Wachter announced his departure from the emo-rock group. But Leto is not a quitter. Despite the broken schnoz, he continued to perform, and even declared that show "one of the best of the tour." And in regards Wachter's departure, an official statement was posted today on the band's website: "This is not an end, it is a new beginning. There are times we all wish for things to stay the same, but change is inevitable and we believe it must be embraced as a gift, not as anything else. There are only positive feelings between us all and we will always remember the wonderful contributions he made to this project." Of course, we assume that this was in reference to Wachter and not the nose.
