New Annie Lennox Album Due Late 2007
Annie Lennox is in the final stages of her first album in four years, due in the last quarter of 2007. The former Eurythmics singer has been working in the studio with producer Glen Ballard, a Grammy winner best known for his work with Alanis Morissette. Ballard describes Lennox's new work as "very intense." Guests include Mary J. Blige, Pink and Kelis.Lennox's last album, Bare, debuted at #4 on the Billboard album charts—but a lot has changed in the industry since then, and Ballard, for one, finds the changes "terrifying." "You can get music for free, and in a year, movies will be, too," he told Billboard. "Performers and the live experience may be the future of the business."
