First confirmed North American appearance for newly reunited Pumpkins
Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, Killers Headline Virgin Festival
In only its second year of existence, Toronto's Virgin Festival is assembling an impressive lineup. Bjork has been confirmed as the headliner for the opening night (Sept. 8th), while the newly reunited Smashing Pumpkins will headline the second night. The gig is the first confirmed North American appearance for the iconic alt-rockers, who have a new album due July 7th.Other bands on tap for the Virgin Festival include the Killers, Amy Winehouse, Interpol, and Tokyo Police Club. Vancouver will host a Virgin Festival of their own in May, headlined by My Chemical Romance, the Killers, and AFI.
