Ozzfest Tour Dates Announced
Ozzfest organizers have announced 24 dates for the 2007 edition of the durable heavy metal music festival—and, as previously reported, all shows will be free. Tour namesake Ozzy Osbourne will be one of the headliners; other acts have yet to be announced."We certainly want everybody to make money, however we also want the kids to be able to afford to come out and have an incredible experience," Ozzy's wife, Sharon, explained in an official statement. "If we continued with the traditional touring festival model, we would have no choice but to raise ticket prices again this year."
Ozzfest and promoter Live Nation will fund the tour with corporate sponsorship. Fans can secure tickets through one of several sponsor websites, which will be announced later on the Ozzfest website.
