U.S. Virgin Fest Headliners Announced
Competing during the same weekend as Chicago's Lollapalooza, the organizers for Baltimore, Maryland's Virgin Fest announced that the August 4-5 festival will feature headliners the Police, the Beastie Boys, and Smashing Pumpkins. V-Fest producer Seth Hurwitz told Billboard that the rest of the line-up will be announced soon enough, but in the meantime, he promises to "fill our slots with the absolute best talent available."We can't help but notice that most of the festivals this coming summer are exercising their nostalgic muscles. Aren't there any current, non-reunion bands worth promoting as headline acts anymore? We wonder.
