The Shins, Panic! at the Disco, Wu-Tang Clan Booked for Bumbershoot
An eclectic group of headliners is lined up for this year's Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival. Indie rock favorites the Shins will headline alongside Panic! at the Disco, the resuscitated Wu-Tang Clan, and the reformed Crowded House. Bumbershoot will be held at the Seattle Center during the first three days of September.Other performers include Lupe Fiasco, Steve Earle, Gogol Bordello, Lyrics Born, Devotchka, and Devendra Banhart, with more artists yet to be announced. But it's not just the music that's the draw.
"We are still the only festival doing contemporary dance, theater and literary arts," said artistic director Michele Scoleri. Among the performers on the literary stage will be writer/actress Miranda July and Found magazine publisher Davy Rothbart.
Three-day passes are currently on sale on the Bumbershoot website for $75 ($95 after August 17th). Single-day passes will be available on July 13th.
