Junior Boys Announce Winning Video From Fan Contest

Even if MTV has abandoned the format, producing music videos will continue to be a creative art form just as long as there are musicians placing importance on them. Take the Junior Boys, for example. The Canadian electro-pop duo just finished hosting a contest on Imeem.com for open video submissions. And after much deliberation, they selected Calvin Fredrick's video for the sublime single "In the Morning" as the winner.

Frederick's video is simple yet hypnotically beautiful. Or as contest co-host Chris Green said, it's "one of the most unique videos I have seen in a while. Amazingly choreographed, I am afraid to ask how much time was put into this."

The Junior Boys are also releasing the cheekily titled EP Dead Horse on April 10th, which features remixes of their songs by renowned electronic arists like Hot Chip and Carl Craig.
