New York's River to River Festival Announces Performers
This summer, several high-profile independent acts have signed on for New York's sixth annual River to River Festival. The free summer-long outdoor program begins on June 1st and will end sometime in September. So far, the eclectic schedule includes performances by Spoon, the New Pornographers, Memomena, Super Furry Animals, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and loads more. A number of public lower Manhattan venues will host the concert series, including Battery Park, the World Financial Center, and the South Street Seaport. See the festival's rather bewildering official website for more information.—The ARTISTdirect Staff
