The Decemberists Tour With (and Without) Orchestra
Oh, those literate Decemberists with their witty tour names. The Portland, Oregon band has announced the "A Bit of Grass-Stain Does Not a Ruined Pair of Jeans Make" summer tour, beginning in Los Angeles on July 7th. The five-city outdoor tour will feature a full orchestra and newly arranged Decemberists songs from the band's back catalog.The lit-rockers will then travel to Europe for the "A Great Smiting of Chavs" tour, beginning in Amsterdam on September 22nd ending in Leeds, England on October 13th. Sadly, the European dates will be played sans orchestra.
