Damon Albarn Says He's Retiring Gorillaz
Damon Albarn has confirmed that there will be no more Gorillaz studio albums. The prolific songwriter behind the cartoon band (as well as the Good, the Bad & the Queen and Blur) told BBC Radio 2 that a feature film project is in the works, but there is no plan for a follow-up to 2005's Demon Days."We're trying to make a film next, starting in September hopefully," Albarn said. "It will be a film score. There won't be another pop record." Filmmaker Terry Gilliam (12 Monkeys, Brazil) is reportedly linked to the project.
