Smashing Pumpkins Reveal Tracklist for "Zeitgeist"

The Smashing Pumpkins—a.k.a. Billy Corgan and whoever else is along for the ride—have unveiled the tracklist for their comeback album, Zeitgeist, due out July 7th on Martha's Music/Reprise. Billboard got a sneak preview of the album, and reveals that the album opens with a "big, loud rocker in the vein of 'Geek U.S.A.' from Siamese Dream," then goes on to offer subtler, more synth-rocky tracks.

Gossip website Buddyhead.com is also reporting that the new Pumpkins lineup has been finalized. In addition to Corgan and longtime Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, the group will reportedly feature guitarist Jeff Schroeder (formerly of the Lassie Foundation) and bassist Ginger Reyes (ex-Halo Friendlies). The band has not officially confirmed the new lineup.
