Razorlight Announce Only U.S. Summer Tour Date

    Razorlight, the
, will perform a special intimate one-off show in New York City at the new Gramercy Theatre on May 10th. Tickets go on sale for this show April 24th at Noon EST at www.ticketmaster.com. This performance will be the band’s only U.S. tour date this summer.

"We’ve got so many great gigs lined up overseas this summer, but we wanted to give our fans in the States one more show before we return overseas," commented lead singer Johnny Borrell. "However, we’re already planning to be back for a proper tour of America in the fall."

The band’s self titled second album, Razorlight, has enjoyed enormous commercial success in the U.K. and has been hailed by critics in the U.S. as their finest effort to date. Razorlight has an extremely busy schedule over the next few months playing a string of major festivals, including: The Pinkpop Festival, T In The Park, Reading/Leeds Festival and Al Gore’s Live Earth Concert.

"I’m personally excited that we’re going to be a part of the Live Earth show," Borrell said. "I went to the cinema to see An Inconvenient Truth with my mates when it was released and I walked out afterwards thinking that I had to do something. When we got the call to join the bill for the London show, it was really a no-brainer."

Razorlight’s current U.S. single, "America," will be headed to modern rock stations this month.
