Billy Joel's Daughter Makes Solo Debut

Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of piano man Billy Joel, quietly released her debut first EP Sketches in late 2006, but she is making a bigger splash this spring, with appearances at the New Orleans Jazz Festival on April 28th and on Jimmy Kimmel Live on May 10th. The EP showcases her ability to play catchy piano-pop in a style similar to her father's, but listeners will be surprised to hear echoes of artists like Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae in her music, as well.

Sketches is being sold exclusively through Target and the iTunes Music Store. Look for more music from Joel when she releases her first full-length album later this year.
